Workshop Overview

School improvement does not happen by chance — It requires honest Reflection, Evidence-based Decision-making, and Collective action. The School Self-Evaluation (SSE) instrument, mandated by the National Policy on Whole-School Evaluation, provides schools with a structured framework to assess their strengths and challenges.         

This 2-day workshop equips Educators, School Leaders, and Governing Body members with the knowledge and Practical Skills to use SSE as a Powerful Tool for building Better Schools.

Workshop Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, Participants will:

  • Understand the Purpose and Policy Framework of School Self-Evaluation.
  • Develop confidence in applying the Rating Scale (1–5) fairly and consistently.
  • Gain insight into the Nine Areas of Evaluation and How they impact Learner Achievement.
  • Learn how to Gather, Analyze, and use Evidence to support Evaluation Findings.
  • Translate SSE Results into a Practical School Improvement Plan (SIP) linked to Educator Professional Development.

Build strategies to foster a culture of continuous improvement involving all stakeholders.

  • Activity: Group Brainstorm on “What happens when schools don’t evaluate themselves?”
